Independence / Reunification Palace

Independence Palace (1955 to 1975), also known as Reunification Palace (since 1975).

It was the home and workplace of the President of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War.

The war ended with the fall of Saigon on April 30, 1975, when a North Vietnamese tank drove through the palace gate.

After that in November 1975 the Provisional Revolutionary Government renamed the building into Reunification palace.
