Bún chả is a traditional Vietnamese dish that originally comes from Hanoi. It consists of grilled pork and small grilled pork patties, served with white rice noodles (bún), fresh herbs and a flavorful fish sauce.

The smoky aroma of the grilled meat goes especially well with the fresh herbs and the slightly sweet and sour sauce.

Bún chả is one of Vietnam’s most famous specialties and, for me, definitely a dish worth trying when visiting Ho Chi Minh city.
