Mì Quảng

Noodle soup from central Vietnam

Mì Quảng is a traditional noodle dish from Central Vietnam, especially popular in the region around Hội An and Đà Nẵng. It is made with wide rice noodles, a small amount of flavorful broth and various toppings such as chicken, shrimp, pork, fresh herbs and peanuts.

Unlike Phở, Mì Quảng contains only a little broth, allowing the different flavors and textures to come together beautifully. Crispy rice crackers, lime and fresh chili are often added before eating.

Personally, I liked Mì Quảng best with chicken (gà). It is a delicious and authentic Vietnamese dish that is definitely worth trying.
